Mochi is a personal cat diary for iPhone. This page explains what happens to your information when you use the app and this website.

Your journal stays on your device

Your cat’s name, profile details, chosen photos, mood check-ins, and memories are stored locally on your iPhone. Mochi does not operate an account system or upload your journal to an app server. We do not sell personal information, use advertising trackers, or run third-party analytics inside the app.

Photos and sharing

The app imports only the photos you choose using Apple’s photo picker. We do not request access to your entire library. When you share a keepsake, the name, photo, mood, and words visible in the card preview are included. Apple’s share sheet lets you choose the recipient or service. The receiving service’s privacy practices then apply.

Subscriptions

Apple processes payments and manages subscriptions. Mochi uses Apple’s StoreKit framework to check subscription eligibility and access. We do not receive your card number. Apple may process account and transaction information under its own privacy policy.

Backups and deletion

Your app data may be included in your device’s iCloud or computer backup depending on your Apple settings. Delete individual memories in the app, edit your profile to remove personal details, or delete the app to remove its local data. Backup copies are managed through Apple’s settings. There is no Mochi account to delete.

This website and support

This website is hosted by Vercel, which may process standard request information such as IP addresses, browser information, and timestamps to deliver and secure the site. Fonts are served by Google Fonts, which receives standard connection information when your browser requests them. We do not set marketing cookies or use website analytics.

If you email support, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send. We use that information to answer your request and resolve the issue. Please do not include payment details. You can request deletion of support correspondence by emailing us.
